Miss Heidi
This was also from the same shoot that I talked about below. Still just working with a great new lens and the available light to get these. I really loved what came out though. This was my third time working with miss Heidi Carlsen on shoots with Stan Evans. She is an amazing model and extremely easy to photograph.

Curls and Light
So I have been working for and assisting the photographer Stan Evans of Salt Lake City (you can check out his work at www.stanevansphoto.com) for the last year now. The one of the many perks to this job is being able to get some shots at the shoots. I took the following images with just available light in the studio instead of getting to use the strobes. What I ended up with though I was very happy with for just shooting some quick shots. The model is Charity Renfro who was a pleasure to meet and work with.

Park City Yoga Adventures
One of the coolest jobs I've had in awhile as far as a totally unique experience. I was contacted to photograph a session of Park City Yoga Adventures. They specialize in doing yoga in places other then the regular spots. A few of these adventures include hiking in summer, snowshoeing to a yurt in winter and something very unique to Utah is on a paddleboard in a geothermal crater!
"For over a century people have come from far and wide to experience the therapeutic mineral-rich waters of the Homestead Crater. Just 15 minutes from Park City, this 10,000 year old hot spring has long been touted for its restorative properties. "
The Crater looks like a regular hill other then the fenced off opening at the top that reveals a 55 foot drop to 90 plus degree mineral water that is the color of the Caribbean and is 85 feet deep. Luckily there is a tunnel that takes you right inside where there are changing areas and a dock and benches to get the best experience. They even offer scuba diving classes there to take advantage of the crystal clear water and amazing temperature.
Park City Yoga Adventure's owner and yoga leader Julia Geisler was wonderful and I hope to do another shoot with her in the Crater in the near future. The only thing I regret is not bringing a suit so that I could also get in on the action!

2011 Mountain Man Rendezvous in Fort Bridger Wyoming
I grew up in Wyoming and will love that state for as long as I live. There is something different about growing up in the least populous state in the union.
"The Fort Bridger Rendezvous is an annual reenactment of trading which took place during the Fur Trade Era between mountain men, Native Americans, fur trappers and traders. Every year over Labor Day weekend the town of Fort Bridger, Wyoming holds a reenactment of the Rendezvous which took place during the Fur Trade Era. Marksmanship contests are held with rifles of the time period, along with axe throwing contests and archery. Foods of the time period are also sold, and the Fort Bridger Historical site has workshops people can get involved in to learn about what life was like in those days."
I have always loved going to the Rendezvous but in the last few years especially. A few friends and I have picked up blackpowder rifle shooting and tomahawk throwing. Going camping and having that taste of the old days is always a great feeling, especially when I am tired of being in the rush of the
city.

So I was thinking about trying to start adding things on here in chronological order as to when they happened but I think mixing it up will be easier on me and won't really make that much of a difference at first so I'm just going to start posting whatever I want on here. Switching Gears With My Blog
Previously I have used this blog as a temporary website while creating my own. I am now transitioning to make this blog an exhibit for all of the things that I am doing regularly that may not be website worthy or the extras from a shoot that I would like to share as well.
